One of the easiest ways to island hop is by air on one of Mokulele’s puddle jumpers. You can get to most of the main Hawaiian islands with these guys and, while it is more of a functional activity, it can be just as fun and exciting as the other activities you’ll find on Maui. You’ll get to see the islands and water from the air and experience the pilot and the (sometimes inexperienced) copilot’s flight across the ocean channels that separate the islands. Usually lasting less than an hour from Maui, Oahu is a main destination, but you can also get to Maui’s other airports by flying on Mokulele, drastically shortening the amount of time it would take to get there by car or boat.
