This is a great way to spend a couple of hours, especially if you have little ones in tow! On top of being educational and informative, just about everyone who isn't claustrophic love going through the aquarium tunnel and being immersed into the life under the ocean.
You can see some marine creatures you'd be hard-pressed to see in the wild and the helpful staff know just about all there is to know about the daily lives and patterns of each of the sea creatures that live in the waters around beautiful Maui.

Check out all of Maui's marine life in one easily-accessible area at the Maui Ocean Center. Both informational and fun, it's a great place to take a family or go on the inevitable rainy days on Maui located right next to Maalaea Harbor. The aquarium at the Maui Ocean Center is exciting for both kids and adults, with a tunnel leading directly through the bottom of the aquarium so you can experience Maui's marine life in their own habitat.
They also have other exhibits which provide fun and educational information about many of the indigenous marine species in all of Hawaii, as well as the conservation efforts that those living on the islands are implementing so that Maui's beauty can be appreciated for years to come.
You will need tickets to get into the Maui Ocean center. You can purchase tickets at the door or ahead of time here and it's a little cheaper if you book online.
